For those of us in the UK, we have some great news from 4oD, Channel 4's on demand web TV service. Next month they are opening their archives and letting us watch anything from their back catalogue for free.
This is great for those of us who remember all the good shows that Channel 4 used to show, the much neglected Queer as Folk, to name just one! So, for those of you who haven't had the pleasure of watching this show and weren't interested enough to get the DVDs, please give it a try.
It's darker, grittier, ballsier and a lot more full-frontal than the US version. It has some great acting, especially from Aiden Gillen, Craig Kelly and Charlie Hunnam. As long as you don't expect it to be exactly the same story (although interestingly there are a lot of very similar scenes) or have the beautiful Gale Harold and Randy Harrison in it (only Charlie Hunnam comes close in the pretty boy department), you never know you may even enjoy it!
